Welcome to the Evolving Man Project’s Evolved “Young” Man of the Week’ profile. Today, we will highlight historical and contemporary figures who embodied what it means to be an evolved man, famous and non-famous alike. The world needs to know their stories and deeds. This week’s honor goes to the nation’s youngest attorney, Peter Park.
Peter Park recently made history for being the youngest person to pass the state bar exam in the Golden State. The State Bar of California could not confirm whether Park was the youngest person to pass the exam. Still, its executive director, Leah Wilson, told the Associated Press that passing the bar at such a young age “is quite an extraordinary feat and one worth celebrating.”
Park enrolled in the four-year online program at the Northwestern California University School of Law at the same time that he was beginning high school. Park was able to graduate high school in 2021, at the end of 10th grade, by taking the California High School Proficiency Exam. Then, he was able to devote full time to his law studies.
Park’s father brought up the idea of attending law school when Park was only age 13, the younger Park told the Washington Post. Park’s father had discovered that his son could apply to law school in California without an undergraduate degree if he passed the College Level Examination Program tests.

Park began studying. He passed the CLEP exams in eighth grade and began applying to law schools. At 18 years old, Park works for an assistant district attorney in Tulare County, California.
Here is Peter Park in his own words:
“It was not easy, but it was worth it. It required discipline and strategy to pass the bar, and I made it in the end,” … “I am extremely blessed to have discovered this path, and my hope is that more people will realize that alternative paths exist to becoming an attorney.”
At the Evolving Man Project, we wish Peter Park congratulations and much continued success as he starts his career in practicing law. Today, we honor Peter Park as the Evolved Man of the Week.
