“We have fought hard and long for integration, as I believe we should have, and I know that we will win. But I’ve come to believe we’re integrating into a burning house.
I’m afraid that America may be losing what moral vision she may have had …. And I’m afraid that even as we integrate, we are walking into a place that does not understand that this nation needs to be deeply concerned with the plight of the poor and disenfranchised. Until we commit ourselves to ensuring that the underclass is given justice and opportunity, we will continue to perpetuate the anger and violence that tears at the soul of this nation.” ―

They’ll often say things like, “This is not the America I remember.” Alternatively, “I can’t believe this is happening in my country.” Either these people are ignorant, naive, or failed epically in their U.S. history classes. America has always been heinous in its treatment of many if it’s own citizens and people’s in foreign lands.
It’s always been Moderates that willingly worked with and enable evil all while claiming the best change is always incremental. People act like Trump is the cause of all this viciousness and hate in our nation today. They’re woefully wrong! That began back in 1776, and America is gonna keep on being America. So, once again, MLK was right as fuck!
One response to “America gonna America.”
