Every May in the United States is Mental Health Awareness Month. If you’re not filthy rich, white, Christain, or able-bodied or all those things, this society can be taxing on one’s mental health and wellness. U.S. culture loves to blame the individual for their problems, and societal problems are always the individual’s fault. You can see how this can get stressful. The United States keeps its citizens in a constant state of trauma. That’s if you’re a person with a conscious.
Conversely, the U.S. has a critical mass of sociopaths, a mental health diagnosis that can’t be cured, only managed. We reward selfish and narcissistic behavior in our society. Assholes seem to be everywhere in the U.S. For those of us who don’t lack a conscience or have a bit of human decency, here is a list of things that are your fault.
Climate Change: You should drive an E.V. and recycle, dammit!
Nuclear War: Putin shouldn’t have used Trump and Facebook to win the 2016 U.S. election.
Poverty: Those Poors should get a damn job and stop waiting for handouts. Who cares if the job pays you crumbs and everything is too damn expensive? That’s thanks to Greed-inflation.
Plastic Pollution – Stop using straws and recycle, you damn peasants!
Racism – If you all stop being so damn WOKE, racism would magically disappear. Duh!
Sexism – Thanks a lot, Me Too Movement!
Student Loan Debt: No one said major in basket weaving. We ain’t paying for you to get black-out drunk in college and fail ECON 101.
The Democrats being a dogshit political party like the Republicans – Hey, it’s those Damn Bernie Bros messing up America. Take a bath, you fucking hippies!

Jokes aside, the USA is a hyper-individualist culture. It allows the socio-political system to fail masses of people daily because the problems are placed on the individual. Thus it’s your fucking fault everything sucks. I have nothing against personal responsibility. And yes, adults of sound mind and body should take responsibility for their actions, particularly if they cause harm to others.
So sorry shitty comedians, you’re not getting canceled because everyone is TOO WOKE. Nope, it means being an asshole doesn’t make you funny. That’s why George Carlin and Eddie Murphy are comedy legends, and no one remembers Andrew Dice Clay. (You had to Google him, didn’t you).
Now back to things being your fault. Yup, U.S. culture places global problems on the individual too. The war in Afghanistan and Iraq. That’s your fault. Ukraine war. That’s your fault too. A CIA-sponsored coup to overthrow a democratically elected leader in a foreign nation. That’s your fault too. Another asshole U.S. President is entering a global dick-waving contest to prove themselves by starting World War Three. That’s your fault too, buddy!
Local problems are your fault too. Take the example of homelessness. Many Americans hate to admit (since the U.S. lacks anything resembling a social safety net) we all are one or two significant setbacks from being out on the streets ourselves. If you don’t have a wealthy ass family.
But in our culture, we program individuals to feel it’s their fault that they got sick or injured and lost their job, couldn’t pay their bills, and got kicked out of their house or apartment. Or racked up 300K in medical or student loan debt. That’s your fault, and you deserve to be out on the street, you bum!
The traumatized citizens turn things into moral failures. People internalize systematic problems. For example, police officers nationwide have members of their ranks murder or shoot black people for just existing. That’s not on individual black people. Nope, it’s a system of white supremacy that allows cops to get away with violent behavior towards black and brown people with little consequences besides getting put on paid administrative leave.
Dylann Roof was a stone-cold murderer. He pretended to be a lost soul needing salvation and prayed with humble black church members. Then he violently slaughtered while spewing his racist and hate-filled propaganda. The cops took him alive and brought him food because he was hungry after his arrest. George Flyod was accused of using a fake $20 bill. He was murdered, not given the same grace as a white murderer. Now I know sunken place coons will try to call me out. And defend police actions and Government inaction that lead to the Black Lives Matter movement being a thing in the first place. So, fuck the rainbow coalition of Nazis apologists.
It’s All Bullshit, and it’s bad for you!
The U.S. culture loves to blame everyday people. Yet, it’s never those greedy ass corporate CEOs’ fault when they tank the economy and get government bailouts. It’s only a problem when we want to cancel student loan debt and give everyday people a break. Nope, that’s fucking socialism, and we don’t do that in the United States of America.

The Government and our elected leaders are never responsible when they send young men and women to war. Poor people from the U.S. are sent to fight poor people in country X to make rich people richer. And the defense budget continues to balloon, and weapons contractors make bank. Shout out to the Military Industrial Complex.
Nope, the real reason why the Government is in debt is not because of endless wars. It’s food stamps for low-income people and disability checks. That’s why the U.S. government can’t pay its debts. We can’t tax those corporations and wealthy people because they’re the JOB creators. If we do that, they’ll get mad and move those jobs to Mexico, India, or China even though they’ve already done that. The federal minimum wage has stayed the same for almost 15 years. Sorry working people, we can’t afford to raise the minimum wage. The Government spent all that money on giving their wealthy overlords more tax cuts.

It’s not your fault that just 100 companies are responsible for 71% of carbon emissions. It’s those 100 companies’ fault. And if corporations are people, those fuckers must take some personal responsibility. The next time there’s a housing and stock market crash due to corporate greed. Those greedy executives must be put in jail, not given a bailout. We should nationalize those companies and put them in the hands of the public. I’m looking at you, Bank of America, and Goldman Sachs.
Corporations and Governments are entities designed to serve the people. In the United States, it’s the other way around. The good thing about systems is they are things collectively created by humans. That means we can change those systems and replace them with a system of justice.
So don’t feel bad about yourself if you don’t recycle every day or don’t have any cash to give a homeless woman on the street. It’s not your fault. It’s the system’s failure. The power we everyday people have is we can come together to change that system to make it better. Until it’s not your fault that the world sucks, it’s sucked for a long time. However, we can make another world possible—a better world.
