It’s almost time for Election 2024! Once again, if you’re on Threads or Twitter or watch MSNBC or CNN, pundits, paid influencers, and moronic political leaders will claim, “This is the most important U.S. election of our lifetimes.” It would be true if the actual voters influenced our public policy. Many studies prove that elites and the corporate class have far more influence on U.S. domestic and foreign policy than the average voting Joe. So, we don’t live in a democracy. We live in a plutocracy. The COVID-19 pandemic has proved that this is a true kleptocracy or a government of thievery. Buy a couple of bags of groceries nowadays. That’ll cost you about $500 at your local Publix. Inflation has made it impossible for many working and middle-class families to afford rent, let alone buy a house. A critical mass of my fellow Americans are on the verge of homelessness. Far too many are on the streets.
The world is a freak show; if you live in the United States, you have a front-row seat to the madness. An election year is when the insanity reaches its peak. The three hundred million U.S. citizens have shown the world time and time again. It’s a nation of batshit crazy instability, from the L.A. Riots, to Hurricane Katrina, to the bombing of Vietnam, to the 1968 DNC convention, to the legion of white supremacists who always influence U.S. politics. There are a lot of looney tunes in the world, but the United States is still number one in doing insane shit. A case in point. Our elected leadership has chosen not to feed kids free lunches at school. That’s socialism, but they decided to put them in school lunch debt instead. To really stick it to those kiddies, these ghouls are repealing the nation’s child labor laws to get those crumb snatchers back to work. Many of my fellow citizens think that’s just fucking dandy! At least, that’s what the Republican party thinks and the Democrats who aid and abet their horrific ideas at all levels of government.
Today, we’ll look at the political philosophies of the Greatest Country in the Universe, The United States of America. And how these political philosophies shape the madness that’s become our depressing and dangerous politics. This list isn’t comprehensive, just a snapshot of the train of political thought that makes up the home of the slaves. Haters will criticize me and say I am making gross generalizations. To those folks, STFU! So without further ado…
They are a bunch of theocratic white supremacist fascists who worship at the altar of Trumpism. They’re also a bunch of pro-business and pro-war sycophants. They have a segment of token black, Latino, and Indian-American friends. Shout out to Kanye West! They are also okay with genocide and would like to genocide the entire Middle East in a holy war to bring back their favorite imaginary friend, White Jesus. Also, if you disagree with them, you’re WOKE. Even though they’re too stupid to define what woke is, that doesn’t stop them from hating it. Why? Because of FREEDOM! They also hate the drag queens. They hate black people. They hate migrants. They hate trans people. They hate women. They hate children. They hate critical race theory (even though they can’t define it at all). Well, they hate pretty much everything except guns. They fucking love guns.
Democrats
They are conservatives with socially acceptable (a.k.a basic af) black and gay friends. Liberals love to talk about incremental change and means testing while masses of people suffer. But remember, if you don’t vote for these assholes, you’re helping Republicans. Even though the actual sitting Democratic President, Joe Biden, is a Reagan Democrat, one of the most conservative Democrats in modern history. Thanks, Obama! Any bipartisanship in D.C. means that Republicans and Democrats are working together to fuck over regular every day people and ensure their wealthy owners get richer. Dr. King warned us about these moderates. Too bad the people ignored his warnings once those moderates co-opted his radical legacy and turned him into a Santa Claus-type figure. Also, they’re okay with genocide but feel really conflicted about it. They also worship at the altar of Mr. Kill-list himself, President Barack Obama.
A group of selfish assholes who think that the only problem with the United States is that there’s too much government regulation. Pesky regulation that hinders major corporations from polluting our water and air and putting five-year-olds back to work in coal mines. Like liberals, they think they’re super bright. But they fail to realize (or ignore) that government and big business have gone hand in hand since the days of slavery. They worship at the altar of that idiot trust fund baby Elon Musk. They’re simply Republicans who smoke weed and replaced sweet baby Jesus with the almighty dollar as being their true god.
The Online Left
You’ll find this virtual signaling bunch on Twitter, Instagram, and Threads. They love to stand AOC or their favorite “lefty’ podcaster who’s making a killing off them subscribing to their patron pages. They all stand faux progressive politicians, AOC is their Taylor Swift, and they always seem to align themselves with Democrats. Basically, they’re disaffected liberals who dabble in actual leftist politics to only co-opt social movements to boil it down to voting for shitty-liberal politicians. See, U.S. election 2020. They used the Black Lives Matter movement to put Jim Crow Joe Biden in office. Now, he’s funding Israel’s genocide in Gaza and possibly starting WWIII with Iran. So much for #harmreduction. Finally, these folks are always outraged about dumb shit that allows them to virtual signal how woke they really are. Like Taylor Swift being despised by a segment of NFL fans or Margo Robbie getting snubbed for the ‘overrated’ Barbie Movie. They tried to cancel me on Twitter when it was still called that back when I dared to criticize the face of the Squad, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and posted an article that pointed out the fact that Sen. Elizabeth Warren lied about being indigenous while she worked at Harvard. One person wrote a whole goddamn blog in response to my wife criticizing them. Of course, that person’s blog post was behind a paywall. They are genuinely political grifters. Shout out to Jimmy Dore and the Young Turks.
Real Leftist
They’re online, but they have lives outside of Twitter. They’ve organized their communities or unionized their workplaces. They, indeed, are the anti-war crowd in the United States and actually read books about U.S. history outside of grade school. Liberals will claim leftists have never done anything for the United States. If you enjoy labor unions, a five-day workweek, weekends off, workman’s comp, sick days, and the many other worker protections you have as a citizen. Or if you like that we don’t live under racist Jim Crow laws. In that case, you can thank those damn commies, anarchists, Marxists, socialists, and radicals. If you’re one of these individuals. You are in good company because Dr. King, Albert Einstein, Angela Davis, and actress Angela Lansbury were all socialists. Damn good company to be in, I might say. They’ll be annoying to talk to at times. They’re all about social and political theory and intellect debates. A critical segment of leftists can, like many Americans, fall for ridiculous conspiracy theories. A theory like the Reptilian Agenda, where political and corporate leaders are indeed reptile-like aliens from another dimension who control humanity. Or that 9/11 was an inside job. Although, they are always right about one thing. That capitalism ruins everything.
Obviously, a nation of three hundred plus million people will have diverse political thought. However, in this nation of freaks, people are wedded to traditions that don’t make sense. Like continuing to support a political system that keeps fucking them over no matter if they vote for the warmongering fascist with a blue tie or red tie. The USA is still number one, and we have the nukes to prove it. The U.S. is the world’s meth lab. And it’s set to explode one day. Maybe 2024 will be the series finale of the United States of America.
